Hello,
I have a new Blackberry World and I'm on Telus.
I am unable to set up my email.
When I go through the setup wizard, and Email setup - my only 2 choices are 'use a work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server' or 'i want to skip email setup'. From searching for this online, I'm assuming I need to set it up without Enterprise Server - but can't figure out how to get to that point...
Thanks in advance!
Amber

The BES options is to receive your corporate email on your device. If you just want to receive personal email just look at JerryD's post for how to setup email on your device: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/mess

Hallo, your problem was in 2008 and now it is 2012 but I have the same problem, cannot install email because my BB8520 insists on directing me to an Enterprise email installation and I am just an individual.... How did you solve the problem? Thanks in advance for letting me know...

Hi RC,
I don't know if Amber sorted the problem in 2008 and you in 2010 but now in 2012 I have the same problem, do you know the solution by now? Hope you can help me.
Thanks,
Frans from Holland

If you have no option to set up a personal email, either your account is on BES or there was a BES policy on the phone when you bought it from the seller. The way to remove the BES policy is to do a complete reset of the phone. Here's an article that details how to do it:

I hope that helps you. ![]()
