Please someone help me- I cannot receive sms from MAURITIUS but I do receive sms sent from UK and USA. Some of the folks in Mauritius receive my sms but when they reply back my 8830 WE do not get it. Thanks
This issue is not dependent on your handheld rather its totally relies on your carrier. Please contact your carrier for resoving the issue. From device what you can check is service center no., validity period, network to send over.

I appreciate the response. Actually I called Sprint who could not help and trasnferred me to Blackberry who tested with a local sms and since I got it told me they can't help any further.
My network is set to Global/ Automatic
In SMS mode- service center is blank, and I can't see any Validity.
I called Sprint today who tried to troubleshoot the issue and finally advised me to remove the international code 011 and only use the country code and local phone number- total of 10 digits.
I tried but still no luck.
FYI 2 other friends on AT&T and Tmobile has no issues sending and receiving sms from MAURITIUS
SMS service center number is not supposed to be blanked. Check with your friends device what is set there? Put service center number accordingly and then try sending SMS.
