I have a new 8830.
What is the largest MicroSD card I can use?
Will MicroSDHC work? Anybody running one? I read in some places that MicroSDHC is not always compatible with MicroSD.

I have version 4.2.2.
This is the only version available on Verizon site.
Also if I try to update from this site (BlackBerry.com), it tells me I have the most current version.
Version 4.5 or 4.6 is not compatible with the 8830?
So I guess I am stuck at 4GB?

Wireless providers disfavour that, but you can install device os for your device model but from another wireless provider.
Download device OS installation pack for your device model from another wireless provider's site.
Install it to your desktop computer.
Delete Vendor.xml from installed files.
Connect your device to the desktop computer via USB and launch BB Desktop Software and after that run Application loader.
Two important points:
1. Download device software for your particular device model.
2. Make backup of all your sensitive data before device OS updating.

For 88xx there is version 4.5 available.
Check this link: Blackberry OS FAQ
There are instructions how to upgrade/downgrade your Blackberry OS, and there are links to download necessary software.
And you can download software for your device model but from another wireless provider.

I checked this link and could not find out how to get Version 4.5 from the BlackBerry site. Rememer only 4.2 is available from Verizon.
Did I miss something?

I meant that if you wish you can find newer device OS for your device on another wireless provider's site.
Check another wireless provider sites for Device Software for 8830.
