Remove password option

My daughter presented me with a bb 9860 which her company allowed her to retain the phone. I switched my bb with this bb. The only problem I have is removing the password option. Does anyone know how to remove the password option? Thanks

Re: Remove password option

Is the password option grayed out / locked?

If so, you will have to remove the policy the company placed on the phone.

remove IT policy - Method 4
http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB14202

but see if you can disable the password first!

The icon for the password is not grayed out. I can change the password but I can not disable it. Thanks for the URL. Let you know how I make out.

gotcha!  There should be a check box that says enable.  can you uncheck it?

I don't know which software you have on your phone but the steps to get to the password screen are here:

Re: Remove password option

Just did my factory reset. Didn't take long at all. Got rid of password requirement.
