I have too many contacts in my Blackberry 8820 to transfer all of them to my car's handsfree memory. The simplest solution to this seems to be setting up the transfer to use the setting "Hotlist Only" in the parameter "Address Book Transfer" in the options for the corresponding Bluetooth connection.

This only results in the transfer of a very small number of contacts (30-40) in comaprison to the car handsfree's capacity of 1000 contacts. What is the hotlist? How are its contents determined? How can I influence its size or contents?

You may be more selective if you seperate contacts into categories.

Thanks I have given up on the hot list and established a new category for the contacts I want to transfer.

It's still not clear to me how the recent calls list works.  Is it limited by number of entries or by how long it's been since the number was used?

In reading the article, there was no explanation of the parameters, I would guess it somehow traces or "tags" the

call log entries. Just my guess.
