We have a very large number of update messages coming into one of our staff member's mail box regarding a device update. This wouldn't be such a problem if this user had a blackberry device, he doesn't.
The situation is that he had a device, a few years ago and it was configured with his details. The employee who configured this device swapped mobiles with him (he wanted an iPhone) and when she left we could neither find the device nor any record of the details of it - we neither have the model, IMEI or mobile network to which it was locked. The device is not managed by any related BES or similar servers.
How the heck do we stop these messages other than just blocking them and deleting them on receipt? These messages are coming from RIM, therefore they should stop them at source by unregistering the account. We *cannot* do this as we neither have the mobile nor an update server that manages the device.
