Does anyone else have problems with the trackwheel on the 8700 models.

This is the second time I have had to replace the wheel, because the spring is shot.

I love the phone, other than this feature.

on this same topic, since I can not click the track wheel,is there another way to access the menu?

any help would be greatly appreciated

I had my 8700g for over a year and I never had an issue with the track wheel.

I don't know of another way to access menu items without clicking the track wheel.

I believe that the Enter/Return key will fulfill the same function as the click, for most applications.

Actually, we've had a number of this model have their wheel wear out around the one year mark.

Digital Frog and the others who have had problems - can you tell me where you are? My trackball began functioning only sporadically a couple months ago and then the trackball actually fell out. 

Tmobile is refusing to honor the warranty saying this falls under physical damage, but I think it is the faulty worn-out trackball.  They say that "this just doesn't happen".

hi, I just started having problems with my track wheel too.  the phone is only a year old, and it seems that quite possibly the spring is shot in mine.  How did you get the spring in your replaced?  I'm not sure where to start to get this problem fixed.  You're help is appreciated!

If it's under a year old, you may be able to get a warranty replacement. Either way, you should probably start with your wireless provider or the store you bought it from.

Is there a shortcut by using the keys to SEND when the trackwheel goes out? I can find shortcuts to just about every other function I need listed in the Getting Started Guide but not how to SEND.
