Re: changing signature (read all previous threads i could find, and that stuff didn't work)

Sadly, this does not help, as i already knew that, and already tried that.  In fact, if you read my previous posts, I have already tried everything suggested in this thread: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=8300&message.id=5217&query.id=105043#...
I am looking for new suggestions, as those things did not work.  Thanks again for your help.

I'm sorry that didn't work for you.  I had the same problem and went to that site and changed it and it has stayed that way for a year now.

I would suggest that you call Verizon tech support as they have been very helpful to me when I've had problems.  They have always stayed with me and walked me through it perfectly.

Good luck.

Now, using my handheld, I use the "E-mail settings" app, and activate MYNAME@gmail.com.  Then, I log back into the BIS for verizon (using my PC), and create the same account there.  Next, I edit that account to change the signature from the default, "Sent from my Verizon Wireless Blackberry" to "ABC".

Why are you creating the same email account twice? That is what it appears you are stating above... once on your BB through the email setup icon, and a second time via your PC logging in to your BIS site.

Re: changing signature (read all previous threads i could find, and that stuff didn't work)

Because, after setting it up on my bberry, it is not present in my online account, as far as i can tell.  thus, in order to change the signature, i must set it up there as well.

Re: changing signature (read all previous threads i could find, and that stuff didn't work)

There's your glitch then.

IF you created the email on your bb "personal email setup" icon and have it enabled to your BB (i.e. you can receive and send email) then whatever it is you are creating the second time AND edited the signature line to "ABC" IS not enabled to your BB. I don't know what you are doing.

You canNOT have two BIS accounts on the same device. Only one.

You CAN have up to ten email accounts on the same one BIS account, but it appears you are creating two BIS accounts.

From the BB, log back in to the BIS and find the "Create Username" link, create one and use THAT to login on your PC.

Re: changing signature (read all previous threads i could find, and that stuff didn't work)

What worked is setting up the email account on my device, and then selecting the "Create User Name" link, making a new user name, and then modifying the signature from the website, for each account.  Somehow, the username that i was using before was not sync'ed with my device.
