memory card,

I wonder anyone can help me with why  my 8310 wont reconize my memory card

First thing to do is reboot the BlackBerry by removing the battery.

Then try inserting the card again. If it still isn't recognized then either the card is bad or the card reader is bad. Do you have another card you can try?

Only a 16gb card but I expect its too large for the phone

Make sure the OS is in the very latest. A 16gb card should work as long as the software is up to date.

Its an older 8310 but still works well so the software isn't going to get any better than 4.5 but I will give it a try

OS 4.5.0.81 or higher will support it.

check your memory card maybe it was not compatible to your cell phone.
