hey all, i have a 8700g and was wondering if there was any way to recieve picture messages on my phone without having the blackberry service? if anyone knows if i can do this and what i need to be able to do this i would appreciate your input, thanks in advance.

Without BlackBerry data plan you won't be able to any of the BlackBerry device functionality except voice calls and SMS texts.

what about getting the phone unlocked, with that clear the way for me to at least get mms messages? i know with my palm treo i had to get it unlocked to use the web and mms messages. thanks

Hi,

MMS has nothing to do with the BB data service.

MMS will work exactly like other phones.

Contact your service provider to ensure you have access to both WAp and MMS.

Without both (and ensure your IT policy doesnt restict them either) it wont work.
