BlackBerry Travel Feature Request

I've been using BB Travel for about a month now and thought of some features to add:

1)  Ability to add cruise information

2)  Add dinner reservation information for your trip

3)  A way to see which of your contacts live in the town you are traveling to.  This could be done through location information in BB Messenger and/or looking at contact information.

If I think of more I'll post it to this topic.  So far I have to say that I really like this app, I've used it on two trips so far and will be using it again on an upcoming trip.  Way to go BlackBerry!

Re: BlackBerry Travel Feature Request

Great ideas - I'm using BBTravel for personal trips at the moment and would like to be able to add in daily activities/sight-seeing etc as events.

Re: BlackBerry Travel Feature Request

I would be interested to see a mileage calculator of some sort.  Most of our family trips are by car, so it would be great if there was a way to implement driving routes and fuel stops.  I realize there are plenty of other apps that do this kind of thing individually, but a few that I have tried weren't very impressive.  And I must admit, the few times I have tried BlackBerry Travel, I was very happy - very user friendly!

I agree - great ideas all. I would also like to see all passenger name details on my air itinerary!

Re: BlackBerry Travel Feature Request

I was a major fan of WorldMate Live and used it for over 5 years.  Now I am stuck with Blackberry Travel - no facility to add meetings, events, dinners etc - just flights, hotels, public transportation and car rentals.  t really is a joke.  I imported my WorldMate trips to Blackberry Travel - so of course there is no record of meetings etc on the imported trips.

I am seriously considering moving to an android phone to gain access again to WorldMate Live.

Re: BlackBerry Travel Feature Request

Completely agree on request. WM Live meeting functionality was a great help to manage meetings accross time zones and see travel itenerary in one place. I've lost valuable restaurant history in cities from my previous trips and it's a great disappointment. I know particularly good restaurant in Moscow and can't anymore find it in my travel history - shame.

Re: BlackBerry Travel Feature Request

I think the BB Travel is a really poor imitation of WM - I have lost so much when I transferred - the only way I can enter meetings is under Public Transport!!  BB seem to have no interest in this - seems they have bigger corporate problems to solve!!

Re: BlackBerry Travel Feature Request

I agree with all of you.  The idea that we cannot enter meetings, dinners and other appointments to BB Travel is ridiculous.  Worldmate was so much better, but now with OS 7, it just doesn't work.  If they are going to force us to use BB Travel, the least they could do is have some of the necessary features there.  Grrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

Re: BlackBerry Travel Feature Request

You should do what I have done - I switched with an IPhone where I can still use WML - maybe if anough travellers move from BB, they will get the message and invest the few cents it would need to upgrade BB Tavell to something more than a small diary entry for vacationers
