Due to price drop I asked for a Playbook for Christmas and was quite happy to get one. I look forward to being able to programming it. I still look forward to programming it as my first try was not very successful. I followed the instructions and kind of had to piece together a little of one section of isntructions with another set as it would not automatically recognize my Developer Certificate (or something like that - I cannot remember as it was about three weeks ago).
I succeeded in getting one of the demo apps onto the PlayBook but that is about as far as I got. I admit that I do not have alot of experience with programming in C but there are other devices out there that seem to make it a lot easier to get started. Cohesive instructions that allow the programmer to easily transition from one tutorial to the next would be appreciated.
RIM needs to make its devices a little easier to program if they want their devices to be competitive with companies like Apple. I have an iPod and there are a lot of apps out there and there are quite a few peripheral devices to use such as the iRig, iRig MIDI and the SynthStation25.
About the programs: I have found the method of copying text which I like. However, pasting it into something like an email has been impossible to me. Being able to paste a a URL into an email would be of great assitance. I believe others would also find this to be of great benefit. When I am using my mobile devices I like to have this feature as I often find a website that I want to check out on my PC for the reason that the mobile device does not provide all the features that a PC does and can provide.
The Playbook is a couple of steps away from becoming just as good a tablet as the iPad.
Ps.: A really good tutorial subject would be on how to interface an external device with the PlayBook to extend its functionality. I am referring to the type of situation that exists with the iPod Touch (or the iPhone) and a SynthStation25. There is a lot of power to be utilized in such a situation.

Yes. If RIM can provide API & tutorial for how to interact with another peripheral devices and PC via USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. It's can be more interested for developers!
And RIM please provide more tutorials for Native Developers.
