1.The playbook OS should check it's native apps to make sure that it's running on the correct OS version. People are keeping their original OS they rooted and just transferring the apps from the new version to the rooted OS.
For example:
2.0.0.7111 Browser App should not run on 2.0.0.6149 playbook OS.
When a new upgrade is made for the playbook os... all the native applications such as the android player and browser should be locked down to that version. Every native app should have a unique signature that can only be decoded by the correct OS version and the correctly decoded signature should be necessary for the application to run. So, the Android player signature for 2.0.0.711 should only be able to be decoded by playbook OS 2.0.0.7111. If the signature is not decoded correctly then the application fails to run or just crashes. This will reduce the amount of people rooting if they can't have the latest fixes for their PlayBook OS.
2. PlayBook OS needs to have an integrated check for rooting. For example:
When the user logs into their blackberry id, a playbook version check should be done. If it is found that the playbook OS version is not the latest then it should force the user to update and NOT log into their blackberry id.
3. Any firmware updates or changes should be verified by the device. The playbook OS should not allow ANY application(http://forums.crackberry.com/playbook-rooting-f256
