Problems with my BlackBerry Torch

I recently took my phone to an AT&T store where the store clerk completely took my phone apart. I am trying to verify whether I have all the original parts. I know the PIN and IMEI are fine. Now I am trying to locate the RS# and the serial number on the phone. Where would they be located aside from the box that came with the phone? I am trying to find them on the actual unit. Also on my sliding phone cover there are two values. What do they signify? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a Good day. Oh yeah, I have a BlackBerry Torch Model 9800.

Re: Problems with my BlackBerry Torch

hmm... don't know what the RS# and serial numbers are, never seen those on BlackBerrys.

Your PIN and IMEI serve as the serial number, so to speak.

Why did you have the clerk take apart your Torch?

What do you fear is missing?

Re: Problems with my BlackBerry Torch

Actually on the box that came with the phone they have the PIN, IMEI, RS#, and serial number listed as four distinct values. May be the RS# and the serial number are listed only on the box. I'm beginning to wonder.

I also think the store clerk took my sliding cover and replaced it with an older cover. Is there any way to know for sure? I know there are two values on or behind the sliding cover.

Re: Problems with my BlackBerry Torch

I don't know how you can determine that.

Perhaps you should ask him?

Re: Problems with my BlackBerry Torch

I am unsure what those two values are on the sliding cover of the phone and is there any way I could figure out if I still have the original sliding cover that came with the phone based on those two values. Would it be written anywhere on the box or manual that came with the phone?
