I am having problems using the internet connection on the simulator. When i go to the browser and go to any page, it takes a long time and an error appears saying "Unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try again later".
i go to Manage Connections, the Mobile Network Fledge Simulator Network is selected.
i go to Mobile Network options the data services is on, network selection mode Automatuc. Mobile Network is Fledge Simulator Network. Network Mode is 3g & 2G.
i tried to run Blackberry Email and MDS Services Simulators 4.1.4 -> MDS to no avail. I tried to run Blackberry JDE 6.0.0 -> MDS-CS to no avail. The only time i managed to get it working was the very first time i installed it and it asked me for the setup options.
Please help if anyone has come accross this problem and resolved it.....

Does the MDS-CS Simulator remain open after you launch it? Do you see activity in the MDS-CS window when you try to browse?
Are you only having problems with the BlackBerry Torch simulator or is this the only one you have tried so far?
You can setup a simulated WiFi network in the BlackBerry Torch simulator, which will allow you to browse without the MDS-CS Simulator. To do so click on the network indicator on the top right corner of the home screen, click on "Setup WiFi Network" and choose the "Default Network".

The window should remain open. Please refer to this article for help and let us know if you run into any further issues.

I have gone thru your link and checked the following point-
1. i have installed java_ee_sdk-5_01-windows.exe for blackberry jde-6.0.0
2. Environment variable path is C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_21\bin
3. JAVA_HOME variable is set to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_21\bin
4. I am not able to relocate \INSTALL_DIRECTORY\MDS\setBMDSEnv.bat file
which tell me where this file will be located and secondly should i have to upload blackberry-email and mds simulator for network connection.
Thanks

You should install the J2SE JDK, not the J2EE JDK. Having the J2EE JDK installed won't hurt, but the J2SE version is required.
JAVA_HOME should also point to "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_21" (without the \bin).

I have done all the steps mentioned. The cmd prompt also did not close even after the simulator (9800) is loaded and I am able to browse.
But the problem is when I checked "Manage Connections--> Service Status" , BIS and BES are not connected. Also , attempt to open Blackberry Maps failed because of Uncaught Map exception.
Could you please help me to solve my issue.

Those settings are not reliable on a BlackBerry smartphone simulator because they rely on the BlackBerry Infrastructure, which the simulator does not have access too.
The exceptions thrown by BlackBerry Maps are known issues. It does not work in many simulator releases.

Thanks for the response !
But could you please suggest some simulator in which I can view the Blackberry Maps application without any issue ? Or is there any other way I can open the Blackberry map? (As I don't have a Blackberry device to test my app) It will be helpful for me to check my application.
Thanks..
