ASKING for help with Bar file installation into Dev Alpha simulator

I was able to package my WebWorks for BB10 project into a .BAR file but I cant seem to get it to install and run in the Dev Alpha Simulator. I tried to follow the walkthrough on the dev site but my command lines appear to be wrong.

my command prompt starts with C:\User\"username">

can anyone help me to put in a proper command line. I can create or move the .BAR file named "Tester.Bar" anywhere if someone can give me the right command line in the prompt.

Thanks in advnaced BB community you are all awesome!!!

You may find it easier to use this graphical tool.

To learn more about packaging, deploying, testing on simulator, you might want to review the Webworks slides and samples by Adam Stanley for BB10 Jam Orlando.

Url to get pdf file and sample solution is: github.com/astanley/Presentations. Look under DEV145 folder.

Re: ASKING for help with Bar file installation into Dev Alpha simulator

well, you can try this alternate method.

Download the playbook tools from here http://gizmojeff.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Playbook_Tools.zip

Unzip the file and copy you app's bar file into this folder.

Make sure that your device is in dev mode

Now, execute the following command in this directory

 java -Xmx512M -jar BarDeploy.jar -installApp -device UR_DEVICE_IP -password UR_DEVICE_PASSWORD UR_APP.bar

This has always worked for me.

Let me know if this solves your problem.
