We're looking into this.  What country are you trying to update from?  It seems like we may have a regional issue with that error.

I am having the same problem, and I am in Ottawa, Canada...  Maybe I can just bring it in for a tune-up?  The RIM office is like 10mins away...

And just to verify, you have all installed the version of Desktop Manager released today from this page?

The version should be 7.1.0.32 Bundle 33.

Mark, I installed it but the "About" page reads:
