BBM simulator stuck at step 2

I am trying to register my application at BBM platform.

  • I have followed "BlackBerry Messenger SDK Version: 1.2 Getting Started Guide.pdf" to connect sim and sim2
  • I can open 127.0.0.1:8080 from my simulator
  • I can succesfully BBM invite from sim1.bat and accept invitation from sim2.bat.
  • I am developing in Eclipse Helios 1.5 and using MDS (C:\Eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde.componentpack7.0.0_7.0.0.33\components\MDS\run.bat).
  • I have used random UUID generated from "http://www.famkruithof.net/uuid/uuidgen".
  • I am following "BlackBerry Messenger SDK Version: 1.2 Development Guide.pdf" to register the application
  • The application gets stuck at step 2 verifying
  • MDS contents:

Re: BBM simulator stuck at step 2

Hey mwaq,

Are you behind a proxy? If so you can check the related posts for a workaround via

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/BBM-Sample-Verifying/td-p/1193629.

The issue in short is that at this time, the BBM MDS-CS does not support proxy authentication. It is however on our roadmap to implement this feature.

Looking forward to your reply.
