Blackberry Playbook Simulator stuck at "[ Starting screen ]"

Whenever I try and boot it always gets stuck at the "[ Starting screen ]" portion of bootup. I've waited hours and concluded it won't work.

I have exactly the same problem. The simulator won't proceed further to [starting screen]  :-(

 

Where do you see VMware's log??
