Can't update my Dev Alpha using Autoload-DevAlpha

Hi,

 

Today time has come for me to test my freshly built native app on the device, however I was unable to do it because it started showing "Program has ended" message. After checking the forums I know that I should update it to the latest OS. So following this link - https://developer.blackberry.com/blackberry10devalphas/update/ I downloaded the Autoloader and tried to update my device.

 

BUT

 

It's not working at all. It stays on "Connecting to bootrom" step - doesn't find the device at all. I am using Windows 8 and I am sure my USB cable is ok (had updated a couple Android devices using it). Do you have any suggestions what can I do to fix it?

And a quick comment to my prev message - no, hard rebooting didn't help. 

 

But taking the battery out and going shopping did help and I was able to simply run the device as usually. And now I'm updating it OTA, so the problem should (according to every bit of info I could find) disappear.
