Clean-only Build error

Aplolgies if there are posts relating to this problem, however I have searched and can't seem to find any solution. I have a BB10 cascades project, which compiles fine, and has been launched on the simulator for debugging purposes several times. After the last termination of the debugging session, I attempted to clean-only build (after making changes to code) and received this error:

**** Clean-only build of configuration Simulator-Debug for project BB10Tester ****

make clean
rm -rf arm arm-p x86
rm: cannot remove `x86/o-g/BB10Tester': Permission denied
make: *** [clean] Error 1

**** Build Finished ****

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

thanks!

Re: Clean-only Build error

Seems x86/o-g/BB10Tester is write protected. You have to set the correct permissions for your user.

Re: Clean-only Build error

Make sure your debugging session is really terminated. Restart NDK.

Re: Clean-only Build error

[ Edited ]

it means exactly what it says it cannot remove the folder or file BB10Tester, there are two main reasons for this;

1) it is in use by another app

2) the permission have been set to disable deletion (depending on system write permission or read only)

Solution

1) Close off any other apps you are using, try restarting the computer if it still doesn't work

2)

If you are using windows right-click on the folder and in properties set read-only off

If you are using some form of UNIX then chmod it

If you are using Apple buy a new computer. ;-)

[Edit] Wow three answers in the time it took me to write this. :-)
