Re: Dev Alpha - App Store not supported in my country

Wait, I'm using browser on my device, but it's somehow separate from "BlackBerry® Browser"? How does that work?

And please don't get me wrong, I appreciate your responses (and patience), but you don't have to get all defensive - I'm not the one to complain about a free dev device, but really, how hard it is for RIM to say "you need BIS and you need to be located in one of these countries: ..."? You know what I mean, right? I'm not saying RIM should give away free phones and cookies, I'm just saying there's a piece of information missing, it has little to do with whether the phone is in Alpha or Beta stage.

Re: Dev Alpha - App Store not supported in my country

You're currently using the WiFi browser, I assume, if you're connected to the internet over WiFi.

You need to the BlackBerry Internet Service plan on your account to use the BlackBerry browser. Sorry if that is not clear to you, but it is basically what I've stated several times in the thread.

And I didn't think I was being defensive... just trying to state it simply as possible. You've got a Alpha hardware device in your hand intended for testing apps you develop. Don't expect it to work for all other purposes. It won't.
