Testing and Deployment

My story:
First try - update trough BB desktop software: dl some modules, but not restarted.
I restarted manual and "bricked" the device.
The repair method didn't work and just shown an error.
Then I downloaded the app loader (the device was listed as unknown, but started to update anyway)
Started downloading another 2 modules.
After some time (felt like hours) I got the device up and running... Enjoying BB10

SOLUTION: Ok I figured it out for anyone having problems:
You have to first install the app loader, then click on the batch file. It may take up to 2 hours and seem as if it froze but as long as the progress bar is active as in you see the green thing moving across it back and forth it is going.
Wait two hours and it will work enjoy.

Mine completes in a matter of minutes (I have a fast internet connection) and then AppLoader close but my device does not restart. Even after manually restarting I still have the old OS. Anyone able to fix this problem?

I`ve got the same problem, no restart after flash. In my case it`s also takes about 2 min to end...

yea that kept happening to me before, trust me its supposed to take a lot longer i have fibre internet and it took my an hour. 

Download app loader install it, then run the batch file

Installation went good, configuration done, but at screen unlock it asks me a password and the dev password isn't working.

Anyone having the same problem here ?

hey folks.  I looked into this a bit and we're working to correct the instructions asap.  Although the desktop manager will detect a new update is available for you, you should NOT use it.  The desktopo manager will not successfully update your device.  you need to dl the package at https://developer.blackberry.com/blackberry10devalphas/update.  

Now there is a key step missing....after you extract the files but BEFORE you run wipeReload.bat you MUST run AppLoaderWelSL_7.1.0.34

For me it`s helped, bb restart and uploads boots ROM, now lets wait.

I mistakenly tried to update with desktop manager, failed, and now after trying with the new apploader i'm left bricked.
any help would be much appreciated

Hey everyone, if you have got the update working you are probably having fun and playing around with it like me. Although we have BBM now and no contacts, i want to play around with bbm and groups if you need a buddy add me
