Note From MSohm
Added some troubleshooting information for common issues to this first post to make it easier for people to find.
PLEASE READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING
Problem 1: The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not say there is updated software available
Solution 1A: Ensure you have the correct version of Desktop Manager.
Solution 1B: Windows users who had previous 7.1 beta versions of Desktop Manager need to delete a couple registry keys.
Solution 1C: Reset the device to factor defaults.
Details for solutions 1A, 1B and 1C can be found here: https://developer.blackberry.com/blackberry10deval
Problem 2: BlackBerry Dev Alpha fails to boot after update (stays on BlackBerry circles boot up screen)
Solution 2: Perform the update process again. Some users are reporting it has taken them 4-5 tries to get a successful update.
Problem 3: Flashing LED and device does not boot.
Solution 3a: If LED is flashing yellow, plug in to charge. Device will boot once battery has enough power.
Solution 3b: If LED is flashing yellow, reload the OS. You may need to restart the device (hold power button for 15 seconds) or let the battery die if Desktop Manager does not detect the device while the LED is flashing.

I'm starting this thread for those having problems installing DevAlpha update 10.0.6.361 on Desktop Software (Bundle 33) - 7.1.0.32 for Windows.
Maybe we can figure out what we have in common to identify the common problem.
I'm in Canada and on Windows 7.
BEFORE POSTING MAKE SURE YOUR RUNNING DESKTOP SOFTWARE VERSION 7.1.0.32

DM build 33
W7 ultimate 32 bits
alpha 10.0.4.197
First attempt went all the way without error until the "you can disconnect safely" prompt.
alpha dispay stating "software update" as normal.
Yet my alpha is still 10.0.4.197 (after restart).
NOTE : at first attempt end, alpha did not restart by itseff.
Second attempt in progress. will update
Update :
Second attempt (had to plug/unplug the alpha twice before reconnecting to DM) successful !
Note : alpha restarted by itself and i DID NOT unplug it until DM prompts again the debrick screen (canceled, of course). Also boot time is VERY long (approx 7-10 minutes), but patience made it !

NOTE: My dev Alpha os was still using the original version 10.0.4.188.
I will locate one of our other DEV alpha devices to see if it has 10.0.4.197. I will attempt the update with os 10.0.4.197 and report back my findings.
