You need to sign the application first.  Refer to this guide for details.

You choose the password when you install your keys on your computer.

Re: Error: Unable to open the application with secured API, when I click on the html5 /web application installed on Bb curve 8520

The same password must be specified for all keys on the same PC ?

Under the heading

BlackBerry WebWorks SDK; BlackBerry® WebWorks® Plug-in for Eclipse®; BlackBerry WebWorks Plug-in for Microsoft® Visual Studio®:

Step 1 and step 2   are succefully followed accordingly

But  Iam not  getting any dialog called "private key cannot be found"

So Unable to proceed with step 3, 4 and later and hence unable to chose Private Key Password

"

3.  If a dialog that aprivate key cannot be found appears, perform the following actions:
a. Click Yes.
b. Type a password for the private key.
c. Type the password to confirm it.
d. Click OK.
e. Move the mouse to generate data for the new private key.

4. In the Registration PIN field, type the PIN number that you supplied when purchasing signature keys.

5.  In the Private Key Password field, type a password of at least eight characters. This is the private key password.
6. Click Register.
7. Click Exit.

If you don't get the prompt to create your private key password it means you already have a code signing key installed.

You can delete the sigtool files to remove your keys, allowing you to choose a new password.  This article explains where those files are:
