Yes, that is a different model than most BlackBerry 10 Dev Alphas.  Do you have a BlackBerry contact who gave you that one?  If so they can likely get you an update.  If not I can see what I can do.

Same problem here, using Command Line Tool. trying to install the Debug Token on the device.

 

[Fatal Error] :1:1: Premature end of file.
Error: Authentication failed due to system error

 

My computer info:

Window 7 32 bit.

LINK software installed 

 

 

My device information from About--> General:

Model: Anonymous

Model Number:  STL100-3

OS Version: 10.0.8.111

 

Real Device with new microSD memory card. no SIM (it's for devlopment use only)

I had to update the device and the tools to the latest version before it started working.

That's right

I updated the device, using LINK pc software, doing RESTORE to the device.

now everything works.
