You can just copy the COD files to the simulator's installation directory.  The next time it starts up the application will be loaded.

If the simulator is already running you can use the File menu and choose Load BlackBerry Application or Theme.

Re: How to install 3rd party apps on BlackBerry Simulator for 9550

For windows 7 64bit the solution to this answer is to copy the COD's into the Virtual Store of the real folder. Please go read up on what the use of a Virtual Store for Windows 7 is.

So for example my 9800 simulator's installation directory is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Smartphone Simulators 6.0.0\6.0.0.141 (9800)

My virtual store is:

C:\Users\koortsj\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Smartphone Simulators 6.0.0\6.0.0.141 (9800)

I copied the COD's in the virtual store and started the simulator by running 9800.bat in the real installation folder, and walla my application is loaded on the simulator.

Note that clean.bat is flawed (see my other post on that) and won't explicitly delete your COD's from the virtual store, so you need to manually delete them after a clean.bat. I wrote a simple script to do that.

This depends on your Windows security settings.  If you have your Program Files directories locked down you can install the simulators to a different, writable location.
