Ripple deploy to BB10 dev alpha failure 881

I'm trying to deploy a webworks application to a dev alpha device using Ripple.

The device has a debug token installed.  The config.xml has an author tag with my name in it, which is the same name used to sign up for the debug token.

When I click Package and Launch in Ripple I can see that the ripple-service window shows a warning:

[WARN] Failed to find debug token

The bar file is successfully created but when it tries to launch to the device it ends with the error:

result::failure 881 application author does not match debug token author

I've placed the debugtoken.bar in the BB10 Webworks SDK folder so I'm not clear about why it would be giving this warning.  Since the author tag in the config.xml is the same as the name on the debug token I can only imagine that error is appearing because it's just not seeing the debug token at all.

I've tried removing and redeploying the debug token on the device, but without success.

Any suggestions would be great.

Re: Ripple deploy to BB10 dev alpha failure 881

In case anyone else runs in to it I'll answer my own question.

I ended up registering for new signing keys to see if I'd done something wrong.  When I ran blackberry-signer -register I got an error about the keys already being registered.  Turns out this computer already had keys registered on it.

I deleted the contents of /users/<my username/appdata/local/research in motion and re-ran the signer.  New keys were registered and everything runs fine now.

Re: Ripple deploy to BB10 dev alpha failure 881

I had the same issue. My way to solve it:
1- from Set the Debug Token section at http://developer.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/runnning_unsigned_apps_using_a_debug_token_18669...l move or copy generated debugtoken.bar to SDK root folder

2- once the debug token is deployed on your device, go to Settings-Security-Development Mode , and the author name data should be replicated at your project config.xml file, ie:

<author href="http://www.example.com/" rim:copyright="Copyright 1998-2012 My Corp">your devname here</author>

I hope it helps.

I think your last post broke on the posting - the url is http://developer.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/runnning_unsigned_apps_using_a_debug_token_18669...
