Self-Deployment

Hi,

I have an app I developed, now I want to distribute the app through my server.

I don't want to register the AppWorld.

I would like to get some help about the process.

Regards,

Guy Dor

Re: Self-Deployment

You need to have Code Signing key in order to run it on device.

Just follow these steps:

1. Sign your appliaction with keys.

2.Copy .cod and jad file of you app to your server.

3.Change extention of .cod file to .zip

4.Extract that .zip file there and delete it, you will see few .cod are extracted.

5.These .cod files and .jad file shoud be at same place.

Now you can download it from your server as "yourserverloaction/yourapp.jad "  from your  BB browser.

Re: Self-Deployment

Thank you for your help, I uploaded the files, for some reason if I'm trying to navigate to /appdir/app.jad

I receive 404 error.

If I navigate to /appfir/index.html I can see the entire file content as usual.

Thanks again...

Re: Self-Deployment

[ Edited ]

I configured the MIME on my server.

Also my cod file size is 5.9 mb, I think the maxium is 128 kb.

Is there any solution for this size issue?

Re: Self-Deployment

Use Winzip to unzip the files in your parent (> 128 K) COD file to your web server.
