The BlackBerry Application Web Loader is unable to create a local copy of files

Summary


This article applies to the following:

  • BlackBerry® Application Web Loader 1.0


Problem


When trying to download an application through the BlackBerry Application Web Loader, the following error message occurs:


Unable to create a local copy of files. Verify that space is available for temporary files on your computer.

Cause


The web server is not configured to host the JAD and COD files.


Resolution


Make sure the web server hosting the JAD and COD files has been configured correctly to serve these files to the browser. See this articlefor information on configuring the web server.
