When i am testing my app, i am deploying my app to the Playbook via command-line, and it is really slow, i have to wait almost 2 minutes, just to retrieve application list. Everything, i am doing with SDK(newest version) is just too slow. At first, it was pretty fast, but then, it became slower and slower. Application, that i am testing has less than 1 MB, so that should not be the problem. What could help ?
thanks
Richard

Are you using a real BlackBerry PlayBook or the simulator? Is there a specific point in the installation that is hanging or is it slow overall (all/most steps are taking longer now)?

Everything is slow...even such easy task as retrieving application list or unistalling app takes very much time. I am using real Playbook connected via USB, ive managed to get over 30 MB/s through that port.

Is it connected to WiFi as well? If so, try turning WiFi off first. It's possible it's trying to route something over the WiFi connection instead of using your USB connection exclusively.

Wow, thank you very much , helped a lot. Now i have another question - is it possible to set static IP adress to a tablet( USB ). I have to change my bat files every time i reconnect my device

Could you please look into the issue with slow Wi-Fi deployment (blackberry-deploy)? I don't have the Playbook connected via USB and deploy wirelessly. I'm sure my Wi-Fi link is fast enough to transfer a 500Kb .bar file in split-second, yet deployment always takes way over a minute.

Actually, packaging is very fast. And install time is decent too (about 15 seconds). It's the time between the blackberry-deploy command and the moment I see that the application started installing that takes a ridiculous and unpredictable amount of time.

vitalyx, which BlackBerry developer tool are you using? Are you using version 2.0 of the PlayBook OS?
