I'm hopeful my application will get approved soon, and I'll be receiving a playbook from RIM. And when that shiny new tablet arrives I want to celebrate. And what better way to celebrate than writing oodles of code for my new toy? I'm curious if anyone else would be interested in joining me for a weekend coding sprint to bang out an applicaiton when the hardware gets into out hands?
It would be a very informal affair, with everyone coding on their own (or in a team) then showing off what we've created at the end of the weekend. Timing would entirely depend on when these devices are shipped, but late April is looking likely.
Just a thought, hope others are interested.

Sounds like fun, where would you do this?
What would be awesome if RIM organized one in Toronto to celebrate PB release.. hell I would do a full weekend of that. Maybe some charity directed apps Japan Earthquake relief for example

Or maybe at several RIM offices at the same time? Would be even more kick **bleep**. I'd surely go to a hack fest somewhere near the SF Bay Area and I'm pretty sure there'd be a whole lot more people willing to do so!
RIM folks, are you listening? ![]()

Running it simultaneously all over NA would be pretty awesome Ba Area, Toronto/Waterloo, perhaps NY?

And RIM could at the same time have an API Hackaton ![]()

Well, with a Hackaton in RIM offices the hacking could have happened on real devices... ![]()
