[Ask - Layout and UI Performance in Blackberry]

[ Edited ]

I have some questions that are still not completely understood my mistake. Maybe you can help me explain my problem was.

The first time I learned how to make blackberry apps using WebWorks, I use jquery mobile to design the pages in the application. But the problem that I have always found is that memory usage always make my application was forced to shut down.

My Question :

1. Is jquery mobile is very heavy to create a page in blackberry application?

What are the main advantages of making designs with jquery mobile and bbui?

2. I took a sample application from the website :
http://coenraets.org/blog/2011/10/sample-application-with-jquery-mobile-and-phonegap/

I use function $. ajax to perform retrieval of data from my server. When I run it on the emulator all goes well.

BUT, when I install it on my blackberry, it turns out only the data that can be displayed, the image that I requested from my server does not appear on my blackberry. Are there any that should be changed?

My Code : http://pastebin.com/UMitB7qg

Note : '<img src="' + antara.img + '"/>'

Syntax will be filled with a full link to the image on my server address. ex : http://www.myserver.com/images/test.jpg

Data is retrieved from the database.

3. One of the settings in my config.xml file like this :

<rim:loadingScreen backgroundImage="pics/loading.png" onLocalPageLoad="true" onFirstLaunch="true">

By making such an application means that the first time you run the application will use the image to display the loading process. BUT, with this arrangement makes each time the application requesting data from my server, the image is always displayed. Not a process of self ajax (loading process).

Perhaps you have experienced the same thing or is there another way to make better this problem be resolved?

Bertho
