Hi everyone!
I want to access a corporate Web application (Intranet) using my BlackBerry browser in my 8800 device. The Web page gets correctly displayed in the browser, however, buttons don´t work at all when clicked. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
I think the web page has some Javascript functionality, so this is probably due to a rendering problem in the Web browser. Is there an approach from the development perspective to emulate this buttons´ funcionality adding code? Any clues?, Perhas using another browser (Bolt, Opera mini, ...)?
Appreciate your help!
Best regards,
Juan.

Hi Juan,
JavaScript (JS) can indeed cause a problem like you are describing. Unfortunately it is impossible to confirm that without knowing what JS code gets called by clicking the button.

Mike.

Hi All
I don´t have access to my Web site´s source code as it´s a vendor application, so I don´t know the javascript code that gest called. is there a way to solve this kind of issues (Intranet Web .aspx application that gets correctly displayed using the Blackberry browser, but does not work when interacting with it). I also tried installing opera mini and bolt browsers, but I dont have access to the Intranet with these, is it possible to do it?
Best regards,

Hi Mark!
Thanks for your advice. I tried installing it following RIM´s document: "Install the BlackBerry Web Development Plug-in for Eclipse from a .zip file", but I got an error related to collecting items to be installed. I got a lot of "No repository found containing: ..." messages. Any clue why this could happen? Is there a solution for this I could follow?
Best regards,
Juan.

Hi Juan,
I just want to ask the obvious as well, just to get it out of the way because sometimes it is the simplest thing ![]()
In the browser configuration, do you have JavaScript turned on for the browser? It is turned off by default.

On my BlackBerry Curve 8310, I used to access www.irishdictionary.ie flawlessly and used the fantastic mobility of a BB combined with a solid Irish-language dictionary. However, now the buttons on the website won't work! Eeek! Help?
Thanks,
Jonathan

Hi Neil,
I tried both with the Javascript enabled and disabled and none of these seem to work. It seems to me the Javascript this Web Site uses is too complex for the browser to interpret, as it uses some actions events after combo box selection andrefilling other lists.
Any other clue?
Thanks for your help!
Best regards,
Juan.

So I downloaded BOLT and while I don't like the browser as much as the BB browser, my Irish-language dictionary is now working. On the BB browser, the buttons still don't work however.
