Re: [Background problem]

Give this config.xml permission element a try: run_when_backgrounded.

Re: [Background problem]

Dear friends,

I tried, but not successful. If you do not have any an action for along time (ex: 1 hour) , the application is paused absolutely. But I want, in the one hour, it runs. This is my current problem.

Thank you.

Dennis Ritchie.

Re: [Background problem]

Does your application run when backgrounded correctly for the first 60 minutes and then stop?  Or does this permission not work as expected at all?

Something else to consider is the preventSleep community extension:

https://github.com/blackberry/WebWorks-Community-APIs/tree/master/BB10/PreventSleep

Using this API you can instruct the BlackBerry 10 OS to keep the backlight on while your application is open.

Re: [Background problem]

That is a good question Adam. Althought an hour on prevent sleep would have some serious battery ramifications...
