Backlight : Disable device going into sleep

In the application i'm writting i'm recording a audo and i dont want the backlight to go off while it is being recorded

I found this article and followed it but it doesnt seems to be working :smileysad:

is there any way i can prevent the backlight from going off??

i tried testing the about given link on

 

webworks plugin : 2.5.1

webworks sdk : 2.0

 

BB simulator: 5.0.0.328 (9530-Verizon)

Yeah that is a known issue. There is a work-around listed on the issue page (although it is a fairly dirty hack).. https://github.com/blackberry/WebWorks-Community-APIs/issues/51

But if i'm playing video in background and recording audio in foregrond  wont there be any performance issues?

I am sure there will be a performance hit, which is why it is a dirty hack, but it may solve your problem until it gets an official fix.

The hack degrade performance of the application.
I think i'll leave backlight like that for now .
