BlackBerry OS 7 and less Menu

[ Edited ]

I;m looking at the APIs for the BB Menu and I cant seem to get it to work via ripple (or via my BB). I copied the exact code on this page https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/apis/blackberry.ui.menu.html and http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Web-and-WebWorks-Development/Adding-Menu-Items-using-the-Blac... page just to test it without any modifications and I couldnt get a menu to show up. Could someone give me a hand.

Thanks!

Re: BlackBerry OS 7 and less Menu

Are there any errors showing up in web inspector when using ripple?

What if you just try to do a basic menu setup?

blackberry.ui.menu.clearMenuItems();

item = new blackberry.ui.menu.MenuItem(false, 1, 'test item', clickItem);					blackberry.ui.menu.addMenuItem(item);

function clickItem(){
console.log('item clicked');
}
