Cannot install WebWorks or Ripple

Hi guys, I'm new to BB dev so you'll have to excuse the noob questions but I've downloaded for the 'WebWorks-BB10-Mac-v1.0' & 'Install_Ripple' the Mac (Dev Alpha). Tried to install, but it just fails.  Double click & nothing happens :smileysad:

Anyone else had this problem please guys?

Re: Cannot install WebWorks or Ripple

I'm not a mac user myself so I'm going blind here, but is there any sort of system OS event log you can check to see if there is a runtime error?  Curious if its a permission issue.

Re: Cannot install WebWorks or Ripple

Thanks astanley, I'm not sure about logs on a MAC either tbh.  No errors, no spinners/egg timer icons are shown - just seems to quit the installer app. I'm the only user on my work MAC so shouldn't be a user permission (I think).  I'm at home now so I'll try on my MAC here instead.

Re: Cannot install WebWorks or Ripple

Did you Mac ask for your user credentials?

Can you try to run the installer from the command line? Here's how - just in case:

  1. Launch "Terminal" app.
  2. Execute the following command (given that the installer is in the Downloads folder and you're currently in your home directory):
    Downloads/Install_Ripple.app/Contents/MacOS/Install_Ripple
  3. Run through the GUI installer.
  4. Copy & paste all CLI output here.

Re: Cannot install WebWorks or Ripple

Thanks, I'll try tomorrow when I'm back at work.  It worked fine on my home MAC though funnily enough.  Weird!
