Cannot register the keys on Windows 8 64b

I can't make my keys to register with RIM.

blackberry-signer -verbose –register –csjpin xxxxxx –storepass xxxxxx C:\Dos\mobile\blackberry\keys\client-RDK-1111.csj C:\Dos\mobile\blackberry\keys\client-PBDT-1111.csj

After I run the command I get prompted for a PWD even though I have supplied one.

Enter Passphrase for keystore:
Error: Keystore load: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Research In Motion\author.p12

the sign tool is in:

C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry 10 WebWorks SDK 1.0.4.7\dependencies\tools\bin

Does anyone has any idea?

The command looks good.

It could be because of the paths, try to move the CSJ files to the root of your SDK and to remove the path. Then execute your command from the bbwp folder, starting with "dependencies\tools\bin\blackberry-signer"

Re: Cannot register the keys on Windows 8 64b

Thanks for the reply.

After lots of hours of troubleshooting I managed to make it work.

I've done multiple things so I am not sure exactly what fixed it.

1) I copied the WebWorks folder from Program Files to c:\ and made sure it didn't have any spaces.

2) I opened this folder Also %HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\Research In Motion and right clicked on Properties. It was ReadOnly ?!? -> unchecked that

3) Reduced my storepass and pin to 10 characters one.

Re: Cannot register the keys on Windows 8 64b

OK.

Just a few comments.

#2 has no effect

#3 doesn't make a difference

So it seems #1 was what was wrong.

Re: Cannot register the keys on Windows 8 64b

I did the 'On Offer' upgrade to 8 back in November

That was a BIG mistake!

Had exactly the same issues

Ended up reformatting down to Win7 just so I could write stuff
