Creating icon fonts for your projects

Icon fonts are an easy way to add customised icons to your projects' buttons, tabs, etc. and it's a requirements for people using Sencha Touch (from 2.2).

While using true vector fonts has the benefit of creating scalable icons, you can convert sets of icons to an icon font using

Re: Creating icon fonts for your projects

Thanks for sharing.

From what devs have been telling me, Sencha is the most popular framework that leverages icon fonts.  Do you know of any others?

Re: Creating icon fonts for your projects

Several packs do exist for JQM and I wouldn't be surprised if the SDK itself was to include icons in that format in the future as they start supporting advanced effects on non-Webkit browsers.

As mentioned above, vector fonts are really perfect for projects trying to support multiple screen resolutions/dpi as well.
