Does Ripple Support WebWorks Dialog APIs?

I cannot get any of the WebWorks Dialog APIs to work in Ripple. Even if I enter the KitchenSink app into Ripple, the Dialog APIs don't work, eg,

Nothing happens when I click on the buttons.

What the devil is going on???

According to the API, both standardAskAsync and customAskAsync are supported in Ripple (not sure if I believe it). Check it out https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/html5/apis/blackberry.ui.dialog.html and click "View Supported Platform Table" link on any of the APIs to see what's supported.

Re: Does Ripple Support WebWorks Dialog APIs?

Okay, I have a really, really stupid question:  How the hell am I supposed to write my app when Ripple doesn't support most of the Dialog APIs??

Use the BB simulator (with MDS simulator for internet access) or test on real device.

Re: Does Ripple Support WebWorks Dialog APIs?

Thanks for bringing to my attention that the Dialog sample in the kitchenSink app needs some updating.  I'll take a look (others are invited to make changes to this app - since its Open Source).

Which platform do you have enabled in Ripple?

Version 2.3.1 of the WebWorks SDK for Smartphone added support for standardAskAsync and customAskAsnc, which is supported on the PlayBook side of things, and Ripple.  Please consider using that instead of the regular customAsk / standardAsk method names
