Re: [ERROR] Cannot sign application - failed to find signing keys

simply copy your  sigtool.p12 file to bin folder:

\BlackBerry WebWorks SDK for TabletOS<version>\bbwp\bin

thats solved my problem

Re: [ERROR] Cannot sign application - failed to find signing keys

[ Edited ]

I am having the same problem.

My Config is Windows 7 - 64 bit.

The certificate file was generated properly in C:\Users\MYUSERID\AppData\Local\Research In Motion folder.

I get the following error

[INFO] Populating application source
[INFO] Parsing config.xml
[ERROR] Cannot sign application - failed to find signing key file: author.p12

SDK Installation path: C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry 10 WebWorks SDK 1.0.4.5>

I am trying to sign a webworks application

Not witty, but I have tried placing the author.p12 file in almost all locations.

Can some one please guide on how to get the webworks application for BB10 signed ?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried to copy the p12 file to bbwp bin folder and rename to sigtool.p12?

That's works for my case with webworks playbook, windows 8, 32bit

Re: [ERROR] Cannot sign application - failed to find signing keys

Just follow this tutorial instead of RIM docs that was make me lost too :Whistling:

That tutorial is for playbook but will work for BB10 and will save your day

Good luck

Re: [ERROR] Cannot sign application - failed to find signing keys

This! This was the solution for me as well.
Probably the
blackberry-keytool -genkeypair -keystore sigtool.p12 -storepass <p12 password> -dname "cn=<company name>" -alias author
do the same job, never tried tho.
