Error Linking barsigner.csk and bbidtoken.csk

Trying to linking my barsigner.csk with my bbidtoken.csk and allways appears same error.

a) I am using Windows 8.1,

b) i have on %HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\Research In Motion:

author.p12

barsigner.csk

barsigner.db

c) i obtained bbidtoken.csk and copied to  %HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\Research In Motion

d) now i am trying to execute:

blackberry-signer -linkcsk –oldcskpass <Legacy CSK password> –bbidcskpass <BBID Token CSK password>

i change: <Legacy CSK password> and <BBID Token CSK password> for my password.

e) And allways have the same error: Error: -cskpass must be specified

Any help can be appreciated.

Re: Error Linking barsigner.csk and bbidtoken.csk

You need blackberry-signer version 3.0.9 or higher to do this.  You can check the version by running blackberry-signer without any parameters.  The version will be listed at the top out the output.

For WebWorks, version 3.0.9 is included in the new 2.0 beta of the WebWorks SDK.  Previous SDK releases have a lower version of blackberry-signer, which doesn't support BlackBerry ID Tokens.

Re: Error Linking barsigner.csk and bbidtoken.csk

Hi Mark,

Now I just run the command from C:\Program Files (x86)\BlackBerry\BB10 WebWorks SDK 2.0.0.54\cordova-blackberry\bin\dependencies\bb-tools\bin

version is 3.0.9

and now appears other error:

Error: The signature on the code signing request didn't verify. The likely cause of this problem is entering an incorrect CSK password.

And I am sure I have my CSK password correct because it's the password that i use nowadays for sign my apps when i execute bbwp with -g parameter with the same password form cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry 10 WebWorks SDK 1.0.4.11

Re: Error Linking barsigner.csk and bbidtoken.csk

Are you using the same Windows account when you sign and link?  It's possible to configure different keys with different passwords for each Windows user.  Another thing to note is that the passwords are case sensitive.

Re: Error Linking barsigner.csk and bbidtoken.csk

Try typing out the command instead of using copy and paste.  Copy and paste can sometimes change the - character from dash to hyphen, which causes problems with command line parameters.

Re: Error Linking barsigner.csk and bbidtoken.csk

Try using a BlackBerry ID Token with the same password as your existing code signing keys so that both passwords are the same.

Re: Error Linking barsigner.csk and bbidtoken.csk

I cannot generate a bbidtoken with same password because my current password CSK is 12 length, and in bbidtoken max lenght of password is 10 :smileysad:

Thanks for you help Mark.

Re: Error Linking barsigner.csk and bbidtoken.csk

Can you try to sign a BAR file using the same blackberry-signer you are trying to use to link?  They should all be pulling from the same signing keys, but this will verify the password.
