Re: Error Signing my App for Smartphones with WebWorks and Ripple

Just BTW the current version of Ripple for Chrome has a bug that causes it to fail when the user tries to Package and Launch.  It may be related to your problem, and it may not.

check out: https://github.com/blackberry/Ripple-UI/issues/492

Should be fixed in next release I guess.

We already have Ripple 0.9.8 out there. You should run an update I think.

Re: Error Signing my App for Smartphones with WebWorks and Ripple

I run the update on Chrome and i only get 0.9.7 and the Package & Launch button is disable. I try to use Package & Sign but nothings happens. I try to manually update to 0.9.8 but chrome tells me that only by the Extension Web Store is available the installation.

I'm getting freaking tired of this....  With the PlayBook app i didn't have trouble... but for the smartphones ones is so mess up... i guess i'm going to wait to BB10 be released to try to write the apps cause i don't have a developer unit on me....

Re: Error Signing my App for Smartphones with WebWorks and Ripple

For the 1st thing You have to do is:
1. Install BlackBerry WebWorks SDK 2.3.1.5
2.Install BlackBerry 10 WebWorks SDK 1.0.0.7
3. Open Google chrome Extensions and search "Ripple Emulator (Beta) 0.9.8" and Install it in chrome.

Now you have to start services from the option "Start Ripple Service".
And it will work.

Thanks & Regards,

Should be BB10 WebWorks SDK 1.0.1.8 as far as I know for today, isn't it? :smileywink:

Re: Error Signing my App for Smartphones with WebWorks and Ripple

Ok, so my suggestion would be to uninstall all blackberry development tools.  Then:

1.  Go to: https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/download/sdk and download the ones you need.  For phone you need the smartphone SDK, for playbook you need the tablet SDK, for BB10 you need the BB10 SDK.

2.  Go to: https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/download/ripple and download the ripple Chrome extension.  IT WILL install into chrome.

NOTE: (0.9.7 installs BUT does not install the extension into chrome - you have to manually drag it from the Program Files folder!)

Now use chrome to emulate your apps and package and sign etc...

Re: Error Signing my App for Smartphones with WebWorks and Ripple

Well now we are seeing some progress. Thank you all for your replies!

I now have running Ripple for Chrome 0.9.8 Beta and when i click Package & Sign i get this.

Oh Snap! Build request failded with message: error
This could be due to the Build and Deploy services not running or not being installed

Hi mxberry. You might need to start the Ripple services before. Click the Ripple icon

ripple_icon_chrome_v0.9.7.jpg

then it should open the "Mission Control" like below where you can find the "Start Ripple Services" button:
