Re: Error installing BB10-WebWorks-SDK_1.0.2 on Windows 8

You going to have to try what it says:

1.  Create a webworks.bat file in the same folder.

2.  Then insert this: BB10-WebWorks-SDK_1.0.2.exe -i GUI

3.  Save

4.  Run the bat file - clicking on it.

Re: Error installing BB10-WebWorks-SDK_1.0.2 on Windows 8

Try running it with elevated permissions.  Right click, then choose run as administrator.

Also try running the BAT file under windows 7 settings.  Right click -> properties -> compatibility (tab) -> run this in compatibility mode...

Thanks again for your help.!

Unfortunately this did not work.

Now that Windows 8 is officially released, I hope BB can fix this, otherwise lots of devs won't probably bother installing this, it's a pitty

If someone could actually send me the "installed program" as a .zip archive, I'd appreciate

Re: Error installing BB10-WebWorks-SDK_1.0.2 on Windows 8

Don't worry, we don't think you're dumb we just have to cover all bases.

It also helps BB fix the problem when we actually find out whats at fault.  I'm sure soon apps will be windows 8 compatible but its always a problem when you can't buy win 7 off the shelf because win 8 is out.  People are going to struggle for a while until companies catch up.

Hi Guys I have the same error in Windows 8 pro x64, I solved: Right click on WebWorks-Tablet-Win-v2.2.exe select "troubleshoot compatibility" (Solucionar problemas de compatabilidad in spanish), the program suggests "windows xp sp3 compatibility" it works!
