File system error (1003) on any attempt at file access

First - I do have blackberry.io.file in config.xml.

Any time I try to read the file, check for its existence or save it - I get the exact same message every time.

File system error (1003).

Handheld is a Torch 9800

AT&T

6.0.0.246.

Funny thing is exact same code works fine on a version 5 9700 handset.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

TIA

Re: File system error (1003) on any attempt at file access

var fileLocation   = "file:///Device/home/user/documents/MCMClient.dat";

var blob_clientdata = blackberry.utils.stringToBlob( result, "US-ASCII" );
     blackberry.io.file.saveFile( fileLocation, blob_clientdata );

The file does not exist but that file folder structure does on the device.

Re: File system error (1003) on any attempt at file access

Does this work?

var fileLocation   = "file:///store/home/user/documents/MCMClient.dat";

or this?

var fileLocation   = "file:///SDCard/MCMClient.dat";

I was under the perception that only file:///SDCard and file:///store/home/user/...  were writable.  Could be wrong though.
