Re: Fixed Position Toolbars [Example]

Hi

Tested the Toolbars sample app (downloaded today from original link at beginning of post) and it doesn't seem to work ..

The top toolbar just scrolls with the content.

I'm testing this on 8900 Simulator with OS5.0

Did I forget something ? - I haven't made any changes to the code I downloaded.

Re: Fixed Position Toolbars [Example]

Not sure if I can ask this, but if you look at Viigo as a simple example, they have a fixed header at top with scrollable list - header does not disappear when scrolling.

As far as I understood, if you use fixed header, then it flickers when list is scrolled ?

(My test in simulator flickers when I use fixed header with scrollable list - 8900 Sim with OS 5.)

Re: Fixed Position Toolbars [Example]

Hi - unfortunately don't know if there's an app that can save screenshots from my

phone - so quickly snapped 2 pics with girlfriends phone and then tried to search for

some better ones

Below is a screenshot of Viigo RSS Feed Reader (very cool app btw)

At the top left of the screen there is a toolbar that reads:

"Home > Channels > Engadget"

that's the context menu bar, and is always visible when one scrolls through the list below

Nice thing is  also that the menubar shows you a what level/depth you are in the menu navigation - in this case its in Engadget news feed.

Below is a screenshot of AppWorld 2.1.4.9 on 8900 Curve with OS 5.0

Unfortunately not very clear, but the search bar stays on top, the results scroll below the search bar.

I also like the popup search category selection as is shown in the screenshot.

Another screenshot found of appworld with search bar, and category filter on the right of searchbar.

Note:

* if anybody can tell me how to implement the searchbar as it is in AppWorld that would be great !

* also, is there some sample code available for a popup like the search category filter

* or just a 'simple' implementation of a toolbar like the one used in Viigo (sure this is not so simple)

tnx.h

Re: Fixed Position Toolbars [Example]

Hi Tim,

For some reason I just can't your sample working in Ripple: "Could not subscribe to scroll events. Error: undefined". I've tried it in Ripple 0.9.0 and Ripple 0.9.5.

I've also tried using the same code in my own project. I've included the feature ID, but still get the error message "Cannot call method 'onScrollStart' of undefined".

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Lewis
