Re: Hide application icon

@janaknayangaljanak: you are really wrong, there isn't any attribute next to "rim:hover" attribute for the <icon ...> tag of the config.xml in the documentation.

I agree with @interfaSys that you won't be able to publish your app to the app world if the app icon is missing, but for the config.xml you could remove the icon tag from config.xml or you could use a transparent 1px*1px icon to hide it from the app but you will need to add an icon to the app world when distributing your app.

Re: Hide application icon

Read the documentation before asking. Most things are already in there: https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/name_element_834672_11.html

There you can read: "If you do not specify anameelement, the application is not valid."

Re: Hide application icon

I don't think so. I think it is the default System behaviour that adds the shadow to every icon you use. Thats why I think you need to remove the icon tag if you don't want to have it but for the app wrld I think you need an icon, maybe not necessarily within the config.xml, but I think for the app when you want to publish it.

Re: Hide application icon

But the api to hide application icon should have to publish by RIM becouse if we have to create an application to update our application in background then it is neccessary to hide updater application icon.
