i have  a sample application that has been packaged by ripple. i then connected my phone on my PC and navigated to the .bar file created. my device is failing to load it. am i doing something wrong

Try to have a closer look to the WebWorks API documentation on how to deploy the app to the device/OS you want it to be deployed.

i am running BB OS7 on my Bold 9900 and the SDK i have is Webworks 10. Could that be a problem. is the a specific Webworks version to develop for OS7. Also, could it be i have no signing keys and the phone needs the app to be signed. Thanks for the link

Are you asking the solution of Webworks or PhoneGap?
B'coz For Webworks Smartphone it will generate .cod file not the .bar.
And it is necessary to have signing key to built .cod file.
Check once..

Thanks a lot. I believe you have answered my solution. I am using Webworks and developing for BB10. I have an alpha device but not at hand so i was testing a simple app and its generating ".bar" files. i guess i have to wait for the signing keys any minute and try once more. thank you very much and i'll reply if i have any question. I am an existing Web developer but am new to blackberry so thats why i am lost>

Any ideas on how i can install keys. Blackberry documentation says i should browse to a folder ......\bin but unfortunately in the latest webworks there is no ...\bin folder. thanks. Am really struggling to set up this environment

Thanks. I am about to give up. I started last night and today since morning i am struggling to set up. The documentation refers to the old sdk. Thanks a lot.
