How to popup "password" keyboard without "password" input

[ Edited ]

In HTML if "input type="password"" the popup keyboard would contain digits keys.

Is there an another way to popup this kind of keyboard when the input type is "text" or input into "testarea" ?

No there is no input type that will show the password keyboard other than the "password" type.

Re: How to popup "password" keyboard without "password" input

As an aside, it is rather infuriating to have a 4-row keyboard in password inputs, and not in regular inputs.

Do you prefer the full keyboard all the time? Instead of the word completion?

I guess I'm used to a larger display, but I'd think a slightly smaller keyboard with 4-rows and the word suggestion would be ideal for me.  Then again, some people might hate that.  Be nice if it were a system option, though, to enable the 4-row keyboard at all times, or at the very least when in portrait mode, since landscape space is a bit of a concern with the 600 row display.

*thinking*

Settings->Virtual Keyboard->

 Key spacing: Small/Large

 Key size: Small/Large

 4-Row Keyboard: "Off/On/Portrait-Only"

 Word Suggestion: "Off/On/Portrait-Only"

 Auto-Word Completion / Auto-Spell-Correction: Off/On, with a toggle button on virtual keyboard

I've sent this feedback in to product management. I'll let you know if there are more questions from them.

Thanks for the input.
